Not sure what 360 Wellness Coaching is or how to explain it to clients?
This brief blog will give you the tools to both understand and explain wellness coaching.
Let’s start at the beginning.
As a coach, you started like all of us did, by gathering the best proven information you can get your hands on.
This process continues throughout your career.
You want all the relevant info you can find to produce amazing results for your clients.
So you gather knowledge of the most effective ways to produce results. You attend conferences, listen to podcasts, read books, enroll in classes, and join seminars on your quest to compile the best information you can to serve your clients.
This base of knowledge contains strategies to improve performance, lose body fat, grow muscle, and optimize health.
You then use these strategies with your clients.
For each client, you select the strategies you know that match your client’s goals.
Confident in your knowledge base, you deliver those curated strategies to your client.
And much to your surprise and frustration, your client often can’t adhere to the very strategies that would absolutely produce results for them if they followed your recommendations.
You know that the science is sound.
You may even have other clients or yourself that saw amazing results with those very same strategies, but more often than not, your clients aren’t able to stay consistent with your recommendations.
Where is the disconnect?
To put it simply, the recommendations do not match your client’s personality, tendencies, environment, and/or resources.
The truth is that even science-backed strategies are useless if your client can’t consistently execute them.
So how do you select strategies that do match your client’s personality, tendencies, environment, and resources?
By introducing our last circle: Psychology.
This further reduces the potential strategies to use with each client, and that’s a good thing.
By taking the science-backed strategies that match your clients’ goals and using an understanding of psychology to select the ones that align with each particular client, you’ll see a huge increase in your client’s consistency and therefore a huge leap in their results.
The filtering of science-backed strategies that match you client’s goal through the lens of psychology is 360 Wellness Coaching.
360 Wellness Coaching is the intersection of scientifically sound strategies that match your client’s goals with psychology so the strategies you provide for them match their personality, tendencies, environment, and resources. This makes their journey to leaner, healthier, and happier easier and more enjoyable.
To sum it up…The Summary:
- Simply selecting scientifically sound strategies is rarely enough to get clients to their goals
- A successful coach takes a client’s personality, tendencies, environment, and resources into account when guiding them.
- 360 Wellness Coaching is the application of psychology to select the appropriate strategies for each individual client.
One Sentence Takeaway:
360 Wellness Coaching is the intersection of scientifically sound strategies that match your client’s goals filtered through the lens of psychology so their journey to leaner, healthier, and happier is easier and more enjoyable.
